Who we are

Wiz Parties is run by Sharon Trevethan, based in Plymouth, Devon. For data protection purposes Wiz Parties is the data controller. You can reach us at s.trevethan@sky.com or on 07835 501419.

What we collect

Only what you give us. That means:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• The town or venue where the party will be, and the date
• Whatever you write in the message box, which sometimes includes a child's age or an allergy
• If you book and pay online, a record that a payment was made, its amount and reference

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or profiling of any kind on this website. There is no cookie banner because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to.

Why we have it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry. Legitimate interests: you asked us a question and expect a reply.
• To arrange and run your party. Performance of a contract with you.
• To keep records of bookings and payments. Legal obligation, mainly tax.

Where you tell us about a child's allergy or additional need, that is special category data. We use it only to run the session safely, and we rely on your explicit consent in giving it to us. You can withdraw that at any time, though it may mean we cannot run the party safely.

Who sees it

Only the two of us, plus the services that make the website work:

• PageLaunch host this site and process enquiry form submissions on our behalf, so the message reaches us. They are our data processor.
• Stripe handle any online payment. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen by us or stored on this website.
• Cloudflare check that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot.
• Our email provider, in order to deliver and store the message.

We do not sell your information, we do not share it for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you enquired about a party.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not turn into a booking: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Booking records: 7 years from the end of the tax year, because HMRC requires it.
• Allergy and medical details: deleted within 30 days of the party.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Email s.trevethan@sky.com and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Photographs

Every photograph of a child on this website was taken at one of our parties and is published with the permission of that child's parent or guardian. If you have given us permission before and would like it withdrawn, email us and the photograph will come down the same day.

We do not photograph at your party unless you ask us to, and we will never publish a picture of your child without asking you first, in writing, afterwards.

This website

The site sets no tracking cookies. Fonts are served from this website rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell any third party that you visited. The only outbound connections a normal visit makes are to our booking and enquiry systems when you actually submit something, and to Cloudflare's bot check on the forms.
