Potion making for teens and grown-ups
Mix your own, bottle it, decorate it however you like, then finish it with twine, wax and a proper stamp. You go home with something you actually made.

Grown-ups get more out of this than they expect
We built this one for teenagers who had aged out of Wizard School and did not want to admit they still wanted to do it. Then the mums started asking. Now it is mostly hen dos, birthdays and work nights out.
The making is more involved than the children's version. Proper layering, more control over the colour, and you choose the bottle rather than being handed one. Then comes the part everyone gets absorbed in: labelling, twine, sealing wax, and pressing a stamp into it while it is still soft.
It is quiet and fiddly and people go oddly silent doing it. Then somebody's seal goes wrong and it is loud again.
Drinks. Add mocktails or cocktails and we will make the drinks part of the theme, mixed at the same bench with the same ceremony. Tell us which and we will quote it. For under-18s the mocktails are the default.

What is included
- Everything for the potion, and a bottle each to keep
- Labels, twine, sealing wax and the stamps
- The full apothecary set-up, lighting and backdrop
- Two of us running the bench
- Setup an hour before, and the clear-up afterwards
Mocktails and cocktails are an add-on rather than included, because the price depends on what you want in them. Ask when you enquire.

Who books this one
Hen dos
The main one. It gives everyone something to do with their hands in the first hour, which is exactly when a hen do needs it.
Teenage birthdays
Twelve to fifteen is the sweet spot. Old enough to do the fiddly bits well, young enough to still be delighted by the wax seal.
Work nights out
Better than bowling, and everyone leaves holding something. We have done these in office kitchens and in village halls.
Questions
Can we bring our own drink?
Yes, if your venue allows it. We are not licensed and we do not sell alcohol. If you want us to build cocktails into the session we will do the mixing and the theming, but the drink itself is yours to supply unless we have agreed otherwise.
Is the potion drinkable?
No. It is a keepsake, not a cocktail. If you want something you can drink, that is the mocktail add-on, made separately with food-safe ingredients.
What if we are more than twenty?
Fine, but tell us early. Past about twenty we bring extra kit and sometimes a third pair of hands, and we run it in two waves so nobody is standing about.
Can you combine it with chocolate tasting?
Yes, and it works well as an evening: tasting first, potions after, or the other way round. Ring us and we will price the pair together rather than adding them up.
Got a date in mind?
Tell us the date, the ages and roughly how many, and we will come back to you the same day with what we can do.
- Everything arrives with us. You provide the room and the cake
- Set up an hour before, and we tidy up afterwards
